Wonderful regional cooking, fresh and healthy, and the view is magnificent. Homemade pasta with fava beans and truffles, fresh bread, delicious cheese, I could go on and on but there just isn't enough room. This was the most delicious and relaxing meal we've had in years. If you are in Roccoscalegna, you must make it a point to visit Civico 20 to enjoy the food, the view and the eclectic charm of the art decorating the walls. Thank you to the owners/hosts, Val and Nik, for your kindness and hospitality and the great conversation. We will see you again when we return to Italy in October.

This restaurant provides a completely enjoyable experience. The food is excellent (and they happily provide vegetarian options). The atmosphere is lovely, with a view of the Roccascalegna Castle from the outdoor dining area. English is spoken by the friendly staff. A popular venue for all.

What a friendly restaurant this is. Run by their owners who welcome you with a warm smile. They speak English very well. The food is fantastic. Lamb, soup, chicken, pasta, salad. Their desserts are lactose free, vegan, and attentive to dietary restrictions. It is a great restaurant for such a cute small town. Highly recommended

We (4 of us) had a pasta making course followed by a guided tour of the castle and then a long lunch at this restaurant.Wow, the pasta making course was a lot of fun, and naturally very educational. We had Nico's daughter demonstrating how to make the pasta. The Castle is a "must see" if you are ever in the Abruzzo region, and our guide was very informative. The lunch, what can I say! Probably some of the best food we have had whilst here in Italy. Every course was a taste sensation. All of us agreed that Nico's Pasta making course combined with the castle tour, and long Italian lunch was an absolute winner!Just a few photos of our meal, I forgot to take one of the tiramisu, my gosh it tasted fantastic.

The food was excellent. We shared dishes so we could have a variety of foods. The charcuterie, the pasta and main courses were delicious! The staff gave us backgrounds about our dishes and recommended wine for pairing. This place is a hidden gem!

Civico 20 is exactly what we were looking for on our family holiday. The dishes were authentic Abruzzese style, rustic, wholesale, fresh ingredients straight from the regions farm lands. We loved this restaurant so much that we came back a few more times during our stay in Roccascalegna.Nico and Valentina were charming hosts who made our experience even more delightful with their warm and friendly service.Side note: Make sure to try the Tiramisu. Heavenly !5 Stars all the way !
